Sweet And Sour Sauce in Batter Coated Chicken Recipe


Ingredients:

2 stalks celery, sliced
2 lg. carrots, sliced
1 sweet pepper, take strips
3/4 c. flour
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. ginger
5/8 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
4 deformity fillets
1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. packed sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 (16 oz.) will tomatoes
1 c. water
1/2 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt


Directions:
Cook vegetables in touch of water in cooking pan, till tender crisp. Drain and put aside.
Combine flour, garlic, egg, ginger, salt and pepper in bowl; combine well.
Pound chicken fillets with meat mallet. take strips.
Dip into batter, coating well. Brown gently in hot oil in pan. Drain on paper towels.
Bring one 1/2 cups water in an exceedingly cooking pan to a boil and stir in sugar. Cook for one minute.
Add vinegar and tomatoes. waken a boil once more.
Stir in mixture of amylum and remaining one cup water, gradually. Cook for three minutes, stirring perpetually.
Add chicken, vegetables and 1/8 tsp. salt. Cook till heated through. Serve over stewed rice.
